Suzanne Friedman
Suzanne Friedman, Director of Design for Friedman Properties, has left her signature mark on numerous Friedman Properties buildings. Friedman's outstanding designs highlight the historic architecture for some of the company's one-of-a-kind assets while also being highly versatile in more modern design for the companies’ new projects.
It is Friedman's talent to bring together the combined efforts of architecture, construction, property management and the leasing departments that give the company and the client/tenants the best possible design for their needs. “It takes a team,” she acknowledges, “bringing creative design within budget, meeting deadlines, reinventing existing challenging conditions and working on the projects that have 'Landmark Status' constraints.”
Most recently, Friedman created the design concept for The Ivy Room at Tree Studios which has been widely praised by top event planners as the best new event space in Chicago.
Friedman attended the Harrington College of Design. She is a long-time supporter of the Women’s Board of the Goodman Theatre, an enthusiastic political advocate and enjoys being involved in many community charities. Her idea board is now mostly covered with photos of granddaughters, Phoebe and Evee, and grandsons, Asher and Boaz.
