Robert A. Zimmerman

Bob Zimmerman enthusiastically manages the leasing activities and marketing functions for Friedman Properties' mixed-use portfolio. With more than twenty years of experience in the industry and expertise in the office, retail and restaurant sectors, Zimmerman has helped assemble the thriving mix of tenants that has transformed Chicago's River North neighborhood into one of the most vibrant communities in the Midwest.

As one of the day-to-day engineers of Friedman Properties' success, Bob evaluates all prospective business opportunities and facilitates tenancies from introduction to move-in. His commitment to pursuing tenancies which promote the long-term development of the surrounding community has made him a sought-after member of local associations and development boards. His leadership responsibilities include serving as a member of the Chicago chapter of the Urban Land Institute and as an executive member of the River North Association.

Bob received his undergraduate degree in Finance from Indiana University and holds an M.B.A. from Loyola University of Chicago. A true foodie, Bob is one of our “go to” people for restaurant suggestions. A frequent visitor to the many movie sets which shoot on location at Friedman Properties' historic buildings, don’t be surprised if you recognize Bob in a movie or TV walk-on role.
