Jason A. Friedman, President, leads Friedman Properties pursuit of new joint venture partnerships and development opportunities. Most recently, he worked in partnership with the City of Chicago to redevelop the Trailways building at 50 E. Roosevelt, a long-vacant structure that is now an anchor for a new Trader Joe’s in the thriving South Loop neighborhood.
His wide range of expertise, including development, finance, real estate law and leasing, allows him to collaborate closely with all of the company's key departments.
Before joining Friedman Properties, Friedman practiced commercial real estate law in the real estate group at internationally renown law firm Kirkland and Ellis LLP. Jason has also served as an adjunct professor of law at John Marshall Law School.
He is highly active in the local community and serves on numerous boards, including his position as the Chairman of the Jewish United Fund's Real Estate & Building Trades Division.
Friedman is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and received his Juris Doctorate from the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington D.C. He was a visiting student at the London School of Economics and worked at the White House and as an aide to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Jason currently lives in Lincoln Park with his wife, Michelle, and their children, Phoebe, Asher, and Boaz.
